TenM3

Several newer Panasonic network cameras have become available in the last few months. For newer purchases, these cameras are worth considering as they offer more features at lower prices. 

Any BL-C, BB-HCM series camera can be used with TenM3. A link to the camera specifications is available here http://www.tenm3.com/cameras.jsp

To get these cameras, search at www.amazon.com with a “A” suffix e.g. “Panasonic BL-C101A” . A Google search will show price & availability at other retailers and dealers.

Summary of Features:
Panasonic BL-C101: Wired, Audio, night - 3 lux, indoor
Panasonic BL-C121: Wired/Wireless, Audio, night - 3 lux, indoor
Panasonic BL-C140: Wired, Pan-Tilt, Audio, night - 3 lux, outdoor
Panasonic BL-C160: Wired, Pan-Tilt, Audio, night - 3 lux, LED light, outdoor
Panasonic BB-HCM547: Wired, Pan-Tilt, 2.3x optical zoom, Audio, night - 0.2 lux, LED light, outdoor

* BL-C101 - will be good for similar locations as the BL-C1, BL-C111 or BL-C131.
* BL-C121 - will be good for locations requiring wireless/wired similar to the BL-C131.
   Note: The BL-C111, BL-C131 have Pan-Tilt, while the BL-C101, BL-C121 are fixed position cameras.
   The 101, 121 are fairly new cameras and may not be available everywhere.
* BL-C140, BL-C160 - are good for outdoor use.

 * Optical zoom (BB-HCM547) cameras provide very good quality for distant objects but do cost more.
* If the camera can point to a fix spot, then Pan-Tilt is not required. Other features being the same, Pan-Tilt cameras cost more than the fixed-position cameras.
* If the Camera will be located outdoors, then an outdoor camera needs to be used e.g. BL-C140, BL-C160 or BB-HCM547. Outdoor cameras cost more than the indoor ones.
* For harsh outdoor conditions - e.g. heavy rain, dust etc a protective dome for the camera should be used.
* The BB-HCM547, BL-C140, BL-C160 are rated for -20 to 50 deg C operation. If the temperatures get outside this range, then temperature regulation will also be needed.
