The Panasonic BB-HCM581, BL-C131 and BL-C1 are popular indoor cameras on the TenM3 service. The full lineup is here Panasonic network camera .
The cameras have different features and are priced differently; depending upon your application, one may be more suited than the other.
See the difference in quality in the snapshots below. Which snapshot has the greener grass?
Recordings from both cameras were done with TenM3 and then a snapshot was captured from the Recordings.

* image quality is better
* colors in the image are richer
* the camera reacts faster to a change in scene (white balance), so is less likely to show bright or dark patches in a fast changing scene. This also produces higher frame rates
* the 21x optical zoom is wonderful - far objects can be seen clearly, near objects can be seen in incredible detail
* the almost 360 deg Pan & Tilt is useful to get a full view of the area e.g. in Security applications
* external MIC’s are used - giving better sound quality and ability to further away
BB-HCM581 & BL-C131
* Both cameras provide good sound and frame rate.
581 keeps the scene brighter (better sensor, faster reaction to changing scenes) leading to higher framerates
BL-C131
* inexpensive - about 25% of the price of a 581
* wireless makes it easy to move the camera and place anywhere.
A BB-HCM581 can be made wireless with external adapters
The BL-C111 is a wired-only version of BL-C131
BL-C1
* very inexpensive - about 10% of the price of a 581
* camera good for fixed-position use where sound is no required
Select the camera that best fits your needs for image quality, features and price.
Note: when the newer indoor models BL-C101, BL-C121 are available (Mar-2009), they will provide additional feature-price combinations.

To improve the Video in Panasonic cameras - change the default Image-Quality setting in the Camera as described here to match the scene.
