TenM3

To broadcast a Camcorder stream (LIVE or recorded video) and to Record it online, use the Camcorder with the Panasonic BB-HCS301 network camera server and the TenM3 service.

The Panasonic BB-HCS301 is also known as a video server. The BB-HCS301 price is here and the specifications are here. The Video server controls are identical to Panasonic network cameras.

The video server takes the video-in (BNC connector) and audio-in (RCA connector) from the Camcorder and puts the data out on Ethernet (RJ45 connector), turning the camcorder into a network camera. If needed, the distance of the camcorder from the BB-HCS301 can be extended wirelessly.

With the TenM3 web service, the camcorder output can be broadcast at a large scale (e.g. to share a Home or Business Event LIVE), recorded 24×7 when needed (no DVR or other equipment is required locally) and added to your website.

The Camcorder will need to be set in the TV-out (or AV-out) mode to drive the signals to the video server. If the Camcorder has a cable with RCA connectors (yellow-video, white-audio), then a RCA-to-BNC adapter will also be needed for the video signal (available in any electronic store). The video server has a single audio-in; it does not support stereo audio.

To test the setup, first use your Camcorder with a TV. Make sure the Camcorder can drive the TV - test that both the LIVE-video and camcorder recordings can be displayed on the TV. Then use the same settings to drive the video server.

To use with TenM3, setup the video server to be accessible from the Internet. Then setup the Feed in your TenM3 account as shown at the links here.

Once setup, the camcorder LIVE Feed can be viewed, shared, recorded at a large scale. The Camcorder Recordings can be uploaded to TenM3. They can be shared from there and also archived.
