How to extend Camcorder’s range wirelessly for a LIVE Broadcast

Camcorders can be used with the TenM3 web service for setting up a LIVE Broadcast at a large scale.

The Audio-Video cables from the Camcorder connect to the Panasonic BB-HCS301, which in turn is connected to the network.

To extend the distance of the Camcorder from the Panasonic box wirelessly, use a 5.8 GHz wireless A/V transmitter and receiver such as RF-Link AVS-5811.

The A/V cables from the Camcorder connect to the AVS-5811 transmitter and at the other end, the A/V cables from the AVS-5811 receiver connect to the Panasonic box. Note: the 5811 transmitter and receiver both require power and the antennas have to be aligned for proper reception.

This solution allows the Camcorder to be in a different room or far away from the Panasonic box. The 5.8 GHz signals go through walls and are relatively immune to interference, so should work well in more setups.

The same solution can also be used to extend the range of  CCTV cameras wirelessly or if the TV signal is coming from the set top box.
