When you need night vision for Video Security, the Panasonic BB-HCM581 or BB-HCM547 are good choices. They can be used to Monitor areas that are dark or have low-light e.g. outdoors, a warehouse, an office, a parking lot.
The BB-HCM581 has a 0.09 lux rating (lower the better), costs about $800 at Amazon and also provides pan-tilt (almost 360 deg), 21x optical zoom and audio. It has to stay indoors or protected. While the BB-HCM547 has a 0.2 lux rating, costs about $650, has a 2.3x optical zoom and can be deployed outdoors.
Both cameras can be used with the TenM3 web service for Video Security.
