With the simple steps below, anyone can setup Video postcards at their location and have customers send them.

Video Postcards = customers emailing links to LIVE or Recorded feeds of themselves at your location

No webcam or camcorders are required i.e. no PC or Mac’s need to be put up at the location and left ON. IP cameras are used which operate standalone on the Internet. Multiple camera’s can be setup at different points very easily (and inexpensively)

 
What is needed?
1) Panasonic IP camera(s) - get a Panasonic BL-C camera — BL-C101 (wired), BL-C121 (wireless), BL-C131 (PT, wireless), BL-C111 (PT, wired), BL-C1 (wired) are all good choices and offer different price/features. The prices range from $80 - $220 (on Amazon). Camera info is here

2) Internet at your location - Cable, DSL, T1, WiMax etc all work

3) Place to put the camera - multiple cameras can be placed at different locations. Wireless cameras are easy to move around and are preferable.

4) TenM3 account - open at www.tenm3.com

* setup the camera at your location
* setup the feed in your TenM3 account
* recharge the account

LIVE Video Postcard
1) customer sends a share-feed-email for the LIVE-Feed to the friends
2) point the camera to the customer

Recorded Video Postcard
1) point the camera to the customer
2) record
3) customer sends a share-File-email to the friends and the customer

The postcards can be any length in time.

 
Cost - A few minutes long postcard will only cost a fraction of a cent.
